The Scariest Part of Etsy

I'm constantly on Etsy.com.  Daily at least, usually several times a day.  Sometimes for personal reasons, but more often for Next Stop Baby.  When I'm perusing for NSB, of course I'm looking a baby products.  There are so many beautifully handcrafted products.  And once in a while, those baby products are modeled on dolls.  Yes, dolls.  No, not babies.  I have nothing profound or controversial to say about this, just that it freaks me out.

As an Etsy seller, I know how difficult it can be to have access to adorable little models (especially when you don't have kiddos yourself!). Even when you do, meltdowns and general uncooperativeness are more common than smiling, once-in-a-lifetime shots. That being said, there are MANY other options to showcase your work instead of using dolls. In fact, I'm sure I read in an Etsy success workshop that dolls generally don't invoke the best responses (i.e. - they creep the s*** out of people)! Check my link for a very doll-free Etsty shop :)
