Plus, she was almost 2.5 when her brother came along. So it was an easy choice, by age 2 she was transitioned into a twin bed, and did very well. Never fell out. And since there was a few months in between with the crib empty, she had no issues about giving up her crib. On the other hand, I kept the rail on the lower setting when our new little guy was not yet every rolling, and his sister (the climber) deftly hoisted her 2 month old brother out of the crib early one morning and I awoke to find them both happily playing on the floor in the nursery.
